Description:

This is a beautiful Colnago C40 HP B-Stay carbon road bike frameset. The frame is a size 58cm, full geometry listed below. This is a 2004 model, the last year of C40 production, and a low mileage frameset. The Art Décor paint (catalog color NC12) is beautiful. There are some minor paint blemishes: 1. cable & shoe rub marks, 2. minor cosmetic blems on top tube cable stops, 3. some scratching under seat stay cluster and under fork crown, 3. paint is pulling away from FD hanger where serial number is, and 5. one area of paint loss on the top tube behind the head tube. Please see close up pics of all for your consideration. These, in my opinion, do not detract from the beauty of the frame and are purely cosmetic issues. Otherwise, the frameset shows only normal signs of light use. The frame is free of any cracks or issues. One of the downtube water bottle bosses was professionally repaired with a rivnut and is working perfectly (not visible when bottle cage installed). Can provide picture of this upon request. Bottom bracket threads and RD threads are perfect. Overall a beautiful example of a C40 that is ready to be built up. See the pics closely!

Shipping is to the USA 48 ONLY and will be $125 via BikeFlights, professionally packed and insured for the purchase price. Carriers have lowered the size limits on their dimensional weight calculation, so shipping bikes has become much more expensive, and the bike may need to be disassembled more than previously (fork removed).

PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN 5 EBAY FEEDBACK RATINGS

Due to recent issues with low feedback buyers NOT PAYING for items won, you must contact me to confirm you will follow through with the purchase or I will cancel your bid and block you from my items.

Apologies, but it is very inconvenient as a seller. SORRY!

Fine Print:

Returns:  All measurements may be a bit off.  That said, great care is taken to ensure that the bike has been described EXACTLY and PRECISELY.   As the bike is shipped insured, any damage from shipping will result in a claim.  Please save all packing material to return the bike.  If damage from shipping occurs – you will be fully reimbursed – for purchase and shipping, but ONLY if you retain the packing material...I cannot file a claim without this.!!  Should you just have buyer’s remorse, you may return the bike at your own expense.  In the case of buyers remorse, a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from your total payment.  This 20% restocking fee covers the packing and shipping costs of sending the bike to you.  Given the care in writing the description and the quality of the pictures, any “item not as described” case is unwarranted and will not be honored.  Please ask all questions before buying

Please recognize you are buying a used bike.  All bikes are ridden before shipping.  The bike will be disassembled for shipping.  The handlebars will be removed.  The bars, with cables attached, will be looped back over the top tube, which will be covered with pipe foam and secured.  Though this will help the parts survive the shipping, the cables and housings will be stressed enough to throw all adjustments off.  It is likely that the brakes and derailleurs will need minor adjustment upon arrival and reassembly.  The seat, seat tube, and pedals (if included) will be removed.  They will be wrapped in bubble wrap and secured so that they will not damage the frame.  The frame and fork blades will be wrapped to prevent damage.  The front wheel will be removed.  The front wheel axle ends will be protected with bubble wrap or foam which will be taped in place.  Bike boxes are reused for shipping.  There may be holes in the box from a previous shipper’s poor packing

To reiterate – you are buying a used bike with a collection of used, and possibly new, components.  It has been ridden.  It has been disassembled for shipment.  It will need to be reassembled and probably need adjustment before it will work as intended.  If you expect perfection, please buy a new bike from your Local Bike Shop (LBS).  The premium price that you pay will help them stay in business.  Buying a new bike from the LBS will allow you to have the perfection that you expect.

Please ask all questions before buying.  I’ll do my best to answer.

Sorry for all the mumbo jumbo, but having to state the obvious is how things are with many ebay buyers these days.
