I have searched and searched for information on this planter and have hit a dead end.  The estate I bought this from had a lot of Weller, Rookwood, and Zanesville pottery.  It is very heavy for its size.  It's seems to be made of the same type of pottery as an old crock.  It definitely has some age on it.
