Description:

Original UK 1968 first pressing of Point Me At The Sky by Pink Floyd released on Columbia.

This copy carries the earliest possible 1A/1A matrix and stamper combination together with KT tax code runout stampings associated with first pressing examples.

The vinyl remains visually especially clean and glossy overall grading VG++ with only light signs of careful handling/play visible under bright light.

Playback remains particularly strong overall grading a strong VG+ during careful play testing. There is a little faint crackle audible during the intro section before largely disappearing, with the remainder of playback sounding especially clear and punchy.

The quieter B-side recording “Careful With That Axe, Eugene” plays with slightly more general background crackle, which is a known characteristic often found on this particular UK pressing.

Labels remain especially clean with only light spindle wear visible, suggesting relatively careful historical use.

The original red Columbia company sleeve is also included.

A particularly attractive early UK Floyd single overall with desirable earliest matrix/stamper combination.

Carefully cleaned and fully play tested prior to listing. Vinyl also checked carefully for warping and dishing. This copy remains very flat.
