TESTED! My best guess is this was not used, because the battery chamber is so clean. I did put batteries in (2 AA) and the amber light came on and it fired flashes when pressed. Repeated multiple times with success.

This flash was originally found with a vintage Minolta Maxxum
5000 camera, thus I suspect compatibility in that line, but not limited to that brand.
