Another rare, obsolete Lunch Pail goody...and it's a genuine 'lunchpail part' helpfully liberated by an employee who worked at Ford's Metuchen Assembly plant, back in the 1960s!
Assembly workers used tags like this for just about anything from subassemblies & bulk lots to whole vehicles. My photos show a similar 'OK' tag hanging from a car door, circa 1964.
When a car on the line was found to be damaged, an inspector would write up a tag like this and the car would be moved to a quarantine are where 'rework' specialists would patch it up.
You're looking at the real deal, a small piece of Genuine Ford history and a guaranteed conversation piece. Best of all, there's no reserve so don't miss out ! |
