Quick Installation

Spray a light coat of marine grease on the steering rod.

Unscrew old cap (if present) and wipe threads clean.

Thread the stainless guard onto the steering tube hand‑tight.
-
Snug with a 7/8" wrench — do NOT over‑torque.
-
Top‑up grease through the Zerk fitting until fresh grease purges.
-
Replace dust cap; test steering for smooth, grease‑free operation.
💡 Pro tip: For best results, purge old grease completely before installing the new guard.
