1. VERIFY PART NUMBER: Air flow sensors may look identical but have different internal calibrations. You MUST match your original part number 7G9N-12B579-AB or C2Z2989 before ordering. Do not rely on the vehicle list alone.
2. DO NOT TOUCH THE SENSING ELEMENT: The internal sensor wire is extremely delicate and sensitive to contamination. Do NOT touch the sensor needle or spray it with cleaners/lubricants. Any oil or debris from your fingers will cause the sensor to fail immediately.
3. RESET FAULT CODES: After installation, you MUST use an OBD2 scanner to clear the old "Mass Air Flow" or "Lean/Rich Mixture" error codes from your car's computer. The dashboard warning light will generally not turn off automatically just by swapping the part.
