⚠ BEFORE YOU BUY — PLEASE CHECK
• Step-DOWN transformer (220-240V → 100V). This unit drops European/Middle Eastern/Chinese 220-240V down to Japanese 100V. It does NOT step UP — if you need to run a 220V appliance on Japanese 100V power, you need a different model.
• Total load must not exceed 300 W (VA). Add up the wattage of all devices plugged in at once. Common safe-zone examples: rice cooker (200-300W), audio amplifier (50-150W), table lamp (10-60W), electric razor (20W). Avoid: hair dryer (1200W+), microwave (1000W+), iron (1000W+). • Frequency is NOT converted. The transformer passes the input frequency through unchanged (50 Hz in, 50 Hz out / 60 Hz in, 60 Hz out). Most modern Japanese electronics handle both frequencies, but motor-based appliances designed strictly for 60 Hz (some old fans, vintage clocks, certain microwave ovens) may run slightly slower on 50 Hz power. • Type C plug — fits most of Europe and a few other regions. The attached cord ends in a Type C (Europlug) two-pin plug, fitting standard outlets in continental Europe, the Middle East, and many other 230V regions. For UK Type G (3-pin) outlets you will need a separate plug adapter. Australia / New Zealand use Type I and also need an adapter. • Heavy and not battery-powered. 2.25 kg of copper, steel, and metal housing. This is a stationary transformer for use at a fixed location, not a travel pocket adapter. Plan to leave it at your destination address. • Japanese-language instruction manual. Operation is plug-in and use — there is nothing complex to operate. The label printed on the unit shows specifications in English. |
