🔍 Stone Description:
This specimen is Lucin Variscite from Utah, USA, one of the most well-known and collectible sources of variscite. Lucin material is prized for its vibrant green coloration and distinctive matrix patterns, often forming nodules or vein-like structures within host rock. Due to limited access and historic mining, high-quality Lucin variscite is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.

📌 Highlights:

Color Palette:
Vivid apple green to mint green tones, often contrasted by tan, cream, or brown matrix.

Patterns:
Spiderweb matrix, brecciated patterns, or solid color zones. Some pieces show tight webbing, while others are more uniform and clean.

Hardness:
~4–5 on the Mohs scale — softer than quartz; best suited for careful cutting, polishing, or display.

Location:
Lucin, Utah, USA — one of the most famous historic variscite deposits.

Formation:
Formed in phosphate-rich environments where aluminum and phosphate minerals interacted with groundwater, creating nodular and vein deposits within host rock.

Rarity:
High — Lucin variscite is one of the most desirable varieties due to its color and patterning. With many deposits no longer actively mined, high-grade material is increasingly scarce and collectible.
