This example is finished in Torch Red and has a removable roof panel, LED headlights, power-folding side mirrors, front and rear cameras, rear Park Assist backup sensors, a Z51 rear spoiler with a Stage 2 Wicker-bill extension, Carbon Flash Metallic-finished mirror caps, Carbon Flash Metallic side skirts, and quad exhaust outlets. Interior:
The heated and ventilated power-adjustable GT2 bucket seats are upholstered in Jet Black leather with Corvette logos on the headrests and Adrenaline Red stitching that extends to the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Drivetrain:
The mid-mounted 6.2-liter LT2 V8 was factory rated at 495 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft of torque with the Z51 performance exhaust system. The Z51 is also equipped with a transmission cooler. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential. It also features a LMR C8 heads cam package that was designed for enthusiasts seeking significant power gains.
Brakes:
For more consistent racetrack braking performance, the Z51 is equipped with larger brake rotors compared with the base C8. Stopping power is provided by Bright Red-painted Z51-branded brake calipers over ventilated rotors at each corner. Built-in ducting in the nose cone funnels air to the front brakes. A pair of rear under-car brake scoops is included with each Z51.
Suspension:
The Z51 package also added a heavy-duty cooling system. A performance-oriented upgrade featuring 20-25% stiffer springs, specialized dampers, and enhanced sway bars compared to the base Stingray. It features adjustable threaded spring seats for lowering, stiffer chassis tuning, and is required to unlock Magnetic Ride Control. The FE4 system's three dry-weather modes (Tour, Sport, and Track) enable Z51-equipped cars to ride with exceptional smoothness on the road and still deliver race-car handling on the track.
Wheels and tires:
Silver 19" and 20" five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 245/35 front and 305/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport tires with DOT 2020.
