antique carved wooden Black Forest large parrot EXTREMELY RARE
This would originally have had a circular ring perch that would be hung from the ceiling from a wire, you can see it has a metal pin with a removable piece of wood, you would’ve slotted the pin into the perch and then push the wood back onto the bottom of the pin. I would imagine it wouldn’t cost too much to get one of these made or you could even get a perch made that stand’s on the ground if desired. I think it’s made from Linden wood. Has it’s original glass eyes.

some expected minor natural splits which is not damage it’s only where the wood has dried out over many years and lost it’s moisture, there is a possible small piece that’s been lost off the end of one of the leaves it’s not sharp at the end it’s smooth so I’m not certain either way, please look at the last 4 photos
