What's the difference between Branchline and standard Code 83 flex track?
The rail is the same Code 83 height. The difference is the ties — Branchline has narrower, more closely-spaced ties to look like secondary mainline, branch line, siding, or yard track. Standard Code 83 has wider mainline ties for primary lines.
Can I mix Branchline and standard Code 83 in the same layout?
Yes — both use Code 83 rail and the same standard rail joiners. Many modelers run Branchline through yards, sidings, and industrial spurs while using standard Code 83 on the mainline for visual realism.
Does this come pre-assembled?
