Code 83 rail height is the modern HO standard for realistic running, matching prototype rail proportions far better than older Code 100 systems.

FAQ
Will Code 83 track work with locomotives that have older deep-flange wheels?
Most modern HO equipment runs fine on Code 83 with standard RP-25 contour wheels. Older brass and tinplate locomotives with deep "pizza-cutter" flanges may bump on tie plate detail — those run better on Code 100.
Can I connect this to other Code 83 brands like Atlas or Micro Engineering?
Yes. Standard HO Code 83 rail joiners fit Walthers, Atlas, and most other Code 83 brands. You may need transition joiners if connecting Code 83 to Code 100.
Does this come pre-assembled?
Yes — each section is fully assembled with rail, ties, and spike detail. Just unpack, lay it on your roadbed, and connect with rail joiners.
How much layout can 15 feet of flex track build?
It depends on radius and design, but a typical 4'×8' HO oval with one passing siding uses roughly 25–30 feet. This 5-pack is a great starter for a small layout or an expansion for an existing one.

Squeaky’s Trains & Things LLC was founded in December of 2019. It was started by our family that has been in love with everything, trains large and small, driven by creativity since we were born.
