NZ-RACE, a KYT full-face helmet made from a tri-composite material developed through KYT’s experience in the world of racing.

The shapes have been thoroughly analysed using fluid dynamics software and through multiple sessions in the wind tunnel, as well as on the track with KYT riders, to achieve the best performance in terms of aerodynamics, ventilation and comfort, whilst enhancing the stylistic aspect characterised, in keeping with tradition, by dynamic, streamlined shapes.

In particular, the spoiler has been carefully designed to achieve excellent results in terms of both aerodynamics and comfort.

Ventilation has also been carefully optimised to ensure efficient diffusion of fresh air inside the helmet and, in harmony with the soft interior, to facilitate the removal of moisture from inside the helmet. The visor is in optical class 1 and guarantees a wide peripheral and vertical field of vision, 210° and 90° respectively; anti-scratch treatment, a Pinlock® Max Vision 70 anti-fog lens and benchmark lightness complete the top-tier specification, suitable for both professional use on the track and pure enjoyment on the road.

SHELL

The shell is available in two sizes (M and L) and is made from Tri-Fiber composite, a blend of Kevlar, carbon and fibreglass, to ensure better impact resistance and reduced weight.

PROTECTIVE POLYSTYRENE

The inner polystyrene is available in 3 different sizes to achieve the best ergonomics at varying thicknesses. This feature allows for the gradual and progressive absorption of the impact force generated by a collision. Although most of the energy caused by the impact is absorbed by the outer protective shell due to its deformation, the role of the polystyrene is crucial for absorbing residual energy.

VISOR

The visor is made of polycarbonate of varying thickness in optical class 1 and features a scratch-resistant coating. The visor is easily removable thanks to a practical mechanism that requires no tools.

PINLOCK®

The NZ-RACE is equipped with the Pinlock® Max Vision 70 anti-fog system.

VENTILATION

The internal polystyrene is designed to work in synergy with the 3 front air intakes on the shell. Special channels in the EPS allow for continuous airflow, ensuring excellent ventilation inside the helmet and rapid extraction of hot air through the rear vents, beneath the aerodynamic spoiler.

LINING

The liners are removable and washable, made from delicate, soft fibre fabrics which, together with special sponges, facilitate airflow, keeping the parts in contact with the face dry and fresh. The Cheeck liners are designed to accommodate a Bluetooth headset, feature an emergency release system allowing them to be quickly removed if necessary, and are designed to accommodate glasses.

RETENTION SYSTEM

The retention system used is a ‘Double D-RING’ made from a lightweight alloy.
