Vintage hand carved wooden duck decoy found in Troy New York, Hudson River region.

Solid one-piece body with nailed head. Small round nail eyes. Flat bottom construction without carved ballast pocket. Strap lead weight attached directly to bottom.

Bottom is burned JB. Includes old rope and anchor weight.

Paint shows age crackle and working wear.
