This rare item is the cast plaster/chalk ware mold made coiled rattlesnake design ashtray/bowl/dish. It has the original Welch novelty company San Angelo, Texas tag on the bottom. There are a few chips along the bottom edge that are visible on the base only, see photos, but otherwise good condition. This measures one and 3/4 inches at the highest and is 7 3/4 inches across its widest.
