Hello, here is a piece of 100% natural and semi translucent Libyan Desert Glass or great sand sea glass that in ancient Neolithic times was made into a Prismatic Blade, Tool, Knife, Scraper or Core! It was found many years ago on an eroded site in Western Egypt.

Here's More Information long but interesting........The origin of the glass is a controversial issue for the scientific community with many evolving theories. Meteoritic origins for the glass were long suspected, and recent research linked the glass to impact features, such as zircon-breakdown, vaporized quartz and meteoritic metals, and to an impact crater. Some geologists associate the glass not with impact melt ejecta, but with melting from meteoric large aerial bursts. The Libyan desert glass has been dated as having formed around 26 million years ago! It was also knapped and used to make tools during the Pleistocene era.

This Artifact measures around 1 5/8" or 4.07cm at its biggest or from opposing side to side!
