Featuring an Art Deco ceramic nude female sculpture in clay/ceramic believed to be the work of Chester Nicodemus (American 1901-1990).

Measuring approximately 8" high X 3 1/3" across the bottom. Depicting a nude female figure sitting with fabric draped across her upper legs in a translucent off-white colored glaze.

In overall very good condition with one flake to her toe on the one foot (see pic).

Must say that I was not all that familiar with the work of Nicodemus until I started to research this piece. It seems that he worked in a dark red clay- But, as the pictures show, this is of a white clay. I did see that this particular figure design was identified as Chester Nicodemus work, I also read that all his molds were destroyed upon his death.
