Beautiful early 20th-century American warming dish made by the New York Stamping Co. (Empress Ware line). This classic piece was designed to keep food or plates warm at the table β simply fill the double-walled base with hot water, add your serving dish, and cover with the domed lid.
Key Features: Authentic oval stamp on the bottom: βEMPRESS WARE NEW YORK STAMPED BROOKLYN N.Y.β with crown logo (standard mark from the 1912-patent era) Ornate beaded/scrollwork rim, decorative cast legs/stand, and two turned side handles with black wooden accents Domed lid with matching beaded edge and large black wooden knob handle Rich brass-tone patina (silverplate that has worn beautifully over time) with light surface wear that gives it wonderful vintage character Approx. 9β10" diameter (please add your exact measurements for best results)
