This limited edition 2-disc SACD Hybrid album features Takashi Asahina conducting the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra in live performances of Schubert's Symphony No. 8 "Unfinished" and Symphony No. 9 "The Great" recorded at Tokyo Suntory Hall in 1999. Newly remastered in 2026, this release marks the first CD & SACD edition of these historic recordings, originally available only on DVD. It includes a newly written liner note by Yuichi Iwano and showcases the masterful artistry of Asahina in one of his final Schubert interpretations.
