Plant Description:

Plinia Nana is a dwarf Jaboticaba from the Cerrado. It can grow from 0.5 - 1.5 meters tall. It produces round fruits, that are purplish-red to black when fully ripe. The fruits are said to stay good for a very long time after picking, up to a week or more. Even without refrigeration. This is a variation of Plinia Nana. The fruits of Plinia nana "de pescoço" have a purplish-red to black bark, crowned by persistent chalice lobes, and a very sweet watery pulp that is completely devoid of acidity and not adherent to the seed, which is a unique characteristic among all jaboticabas.
