Note: The photo is grainly since telescopes at the time were still not able to capture detailed close ups of the surfaces. The photo is an enlargement from an acutal negative taken through a telescope at a major observatory, see the caption for more details. In fact, most of the moon photos published during the 19th century were primarily photos taken of very detailed moon models created in plaster relief or highly detailed drawings from observations.
Description: It is an authentic antique astronomy atlas map or chart approximately 128 years old from the Atlas der Himmelskunde, published in Vienna by Hartleben's Verlag, 1898, a copy of the title page is included for reference. A view of the Lunar Surface of the Moon, enlarged by Weinek from negatives, both photographed by Loewy and Puiseuxin in March of 1895, as stated at the bottom of the page. The print is not matted nor framed, being sold as a single loose print on paper, blank on reverse.
Size: The entire page measures 11 by 15 1/2" page (28x39cm)
Condition: Very Good or better condition printed on a well preserved strong page, blank on reverse. The upper left corner has a soft bend, otherwise it is very clean with plenty of margin for matting and framing, see the pics for more on condition. The pics are of the actual map that will be shipped.

For multiple purchases it is best to use the ebay cart system which will automatically calculate the correct shipping when multiple maps are purchased at the same time.
