I think this is the first edition in the United States, 1879. This is a beautiful book. In awesome condition. Someone wrote the publication date in the book. 1879 it was given to somebody at Christmas time in 1939. I've taken pictures. It's a little book. Beautiful condition. Thanks for looking. Oh, and there's no rip pages or stains
