"Olympus Panametrics V395 immersion transducer operating at 2.25 MHz with a 1.5 in. (39 mm) element diameter. This is a single-element longitudinal-wave immersion probe designed for ultrasonic NDT applications where the part is partially or fully immersed in water for consistent coupling and repeatable scans. The large-diameter element is well suited for automated scanning, on-line thickness gaging, high-speed flaw detection in pipe, bar, tube, and plate, plus through-transmission testing, material analysis, and sound-velocity measurement. Olympus immersion transducers use a water-matched quarter-wave layer for efficient acoustic energy transfer, and the standard housing is a corrosion-resistant 303 stainless steel case with a straight UHF connector."
