Discover the vibrant world of fabric dyeing with Miyakozome COL DYE ALL ECO Fabric Dye. This 300g (approximately 10.58 oz) bulk package in #05 Yellow offers an economical way to refresh your textiles or embark on new creative projects. Miyakozome, a brand established in 1890 in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, has a long-standing reputation for producing high-quality dyes with beautiful, natural hues. This ECO dye is specially formulated to be gentle on both people and the environment. It is free from harmful chemical substances, including heavy metals and substances that could generate amines through reductive decomposition, ensuring a safe dyeing experience for your family. In June 2017, Miyakozome's household hand dyes, including COL DYE ALL, were the first globally to receive the "ECO PASSPORT" international safety certification from the OEKO-TEX International Community, guaranteeing their safety for use in textile products.COL DYE ALL is a versatile dye that works effectively at low temperatures (30°C or 86°F and above), making it suitable for dyeing delicate materials like wool that may be damaged by high heat. It can be used on a variety of natural and synthetic fibers, including cotton, linen, rayon (cupra), silk, wool, nylon, and polyurethane. Please note that polyester (including sewing threads) will not be dyed by this product. One 300g container of COL DYE ALL can dye approximately 3.8 kg (about 8.38 lbs) of white fabric. For smaller projects, you can easily divide the dye into smaller portions, making it a cost-effective choice. For plant-based fibers such as cotton, linen, and rayon, it is recommended to use the separately sold "Mikanol color fixative" after dyeing to prevent color fading during washing. The dyeing process is straightforward. First, wash the fabric you intend to dye to remove any dirt or sizing. Dissolve the dye powder in hot water, ensuring no granules remain. Prepare the dye bath with the appropriate amount of water at 30°C (86°F) or above, adding salt for plant fibers or vinegar for animal fibers (silk, wool, nylon, polyurethane) to enhance color absorption. Submerge your fabric in the dye bath and stir for 20 to 30 minutes. After dyeing, rinse the fabric with water, then wash it with a small amount of neutral liquid detergent in lukewarm water, and rinse again until no suds remain. Finally, if using a color fixative, soak the fabric in the Mikanol solution for 20 to 40 minutes, then rinse and hang to dry in the shade.Miyakozome dyes are proudly manufactured in Japan, with all production consistently carried out at their own factory to ensure the highest quality and safety standards. The brand is renowned for its commitment to providing an enjoyable and safe dyeing experience for everyone.
