Old C. Meisel violin in great playing condition. The label inside the violin says:
                                                                C Meisel
                                                  Geigen Bass und Cellobau
                                 No. 6110  4/4   Copy of Stradivarius  Ser.No. 9675

Ther is another label under the other f-hole. It says:       For better performance this Instrument is constructed and shop
                                                                                                                  adjusted to M. E.N.C Specifications
                                                                                                                   C. MEISEL MUSIC CO., UNIO, N.J.

Meisel violin makers are from Germany. It has had a family violin making tradition. C Meisel is the one from the family but he opened a company in the United States. He imported violins from his family in Germany, and sold them in the US. There is no year. We don't know exactly which year it was made. But I found two C. Meisel catalogues, One is dated 1927 in New York City, and the other is dated 1962 in Union, New Jersey. The violin looks very old. But I believe it was produced from the one in Union, New Jersey. So the date should be early 1950s or 1960s. Please see the last two photos.

The violin has no cracks or repaired cracks any where in the violin. It produces a large, projective sound. Also it is very responsive. The video sound sample is posted. Please watch.

I will give you a decent violin case and a decent violin bow for free if anybody buys this violin. It should be a nice holiday gift for anybody.
