This over-sink sconce was manufactured by Porcelier sometime between 1928 and 1953, the lifetime of the company. The porcelain is in good condition with no defects. The opal glass shade is also in very good condition with the typical minor roughness around the lower rim. The shade is an uncommon one and it can be described as both art deco and machine age.
The sconce has been carefully cleaned and all of the paint and dirt removed from the sides and back. We disassembled, cleaned, polished, and lubed the parts in the pull chain switch, and it works perfectly. We replaced the original nickel pull chain with like kind in order to brighten it up, and left it a little long (10"). If the buyer needs the chain to be longer or shorter, just say so and we will adjust to the length requested. The knob at the end of the pull chain was missing when we got the fixture, so we added a new plastic one. The unpolarized, ungrounded outlet at the bottom of the sconce was missing the parts when we got it, but if the buyer needs the outlet to work, we probably have the parts. Just check with us before buying if you need a functional outlet.
The sconce has been tested, is guaranteed to work correctly, and to be as described. We will accept its return if the buyer is dissatisfied. Just notify us within 30 days of receiving it.
Dimensions: 5" wide x 5-1/2" high where it attaches to the wall, projects 7-1/2" from the wall with shade in place. Uses standard base bulb (not included).
