The figure is finely modelled with excellent detail. The Dobermann is shown in an elegant standing pose with a well-sculpted expressive head, open mouth with visible tongue and teeth, and a glossy dark glaze. The modelling captures the strength and character of the breed very well.

Clearly marked to the base with the green underglaze ENS windmill mark and “Germany” in the same colour.

There is also an impressed model number 7348 and an additional impressed number 22.

These marks confirm production by Karl Ens, Volkstedt, one of the best-known German porcelain manufacturers.
