WW1 Fokker Triplane 1917 commemorative Wall plaque

Plan diagram of the Fokker Triplane Dreidecker a World War I German fighter aircraft built by Fokker-Flugzeugwerke. Designed by Reinhold Platz, the Fokker Dreidecker was a rotary-powered triplane with a steel tube fuselage and thick cantilever wings. It was armed with twin, synchronized 8mm Spandau machine guns, which were standard firepower for the era. With only 320 units built, the Fokker Dr.I saw widespread service in the spring of 1918. It became renowned as it was the aircraft with which Manfred von Richthofen gained his last 20 victories, and in which he was killed on April 21, 1918
