44RE 4x4 Dodge Ram 1500 Overdrive assembly complete as shown, + (plus) new steels and high-energy clutches necessary to complete installation into shell  This is a professionally dismantled, inspected, and reassembled unit with worn parts replaced, and includes an updated snap ring (a common failure point). Just add your shell, no press required! (Check YouTube 'swap dodge overdrive internals' to see how easy this is!)   This assembly is being provided for the do-it-yourself buyer who doesn’t have the experience and/or access to the heavy press required to dis-and-reassemble the internal overdrive unit for rebuilding.  NOTE >>> Completed unit is shipped with a 'half-shaft' inserted during assembly to keep internals from shifting during handling.  It simply slides out prior to installation and eliminates a serious headache when attaching the finished overdrive to your transmission.
