Vintage Renaissance themed chess set produced by the E. S. Lowe Company, a well-known American manufacturer of chess sets and games. This set features detailed Renaissance style chess pieces modeled after 15th century figures, giving the game a unique historical and decorative look.

The set includes both black and ivory colored chessmen with sculpted figures such as knights on horseback, castle towers for rooks, and regal king and queen pieces. Each piece has a felted base and is extra heavily weighted for stability during play. The pieces are stored in a fitted red tray inside the original box.
