Antique Victorian coin silver bracelet made from ten vintage silver dimes, including U.S. Seated Liberty dimes and a Victorian Canadian dime.
Several of the coins have been hand engraved in the traditional love token style with monograms and decorative motifs. Love tokens were popular in the 19th century, when coins were smoothed and engraved as personal keepsakes or sweetheart gifts.
The coins range in date from 1842 through the late 1800s, including multiple Seated Liberty dimes (dated 1842, 1875, 1884, 1889 as shown) and a Canadian Victorian dime. The mix of engraved love tokens and original coin designs adds to the character and history of the piece.
The coins are suspended from a curved coin silver band with hook clasp closure. The bracelet has a natural aged patina consistent with antique silver jewelry.
A wonderful example of antique Victorian coin jewelry incorporating genuine 19th century coins and traditional love token engraving.
