Fit The Spline Socket
Seat a spline socket fully over the nut's splines, then hand-start each nut on a clean stud several turns before any tool touches it.
Snug In A Star Pattern
With the wheel hanging level, snug all fasteners in a star (crisscross) pattern so the cone seats center the wheel evenly on the studs.
Torque To Vehicle Spec
Torque each nut to your vehicle's wheel fastener spec with the spline socket on a torque wrench, then recheck after the first drive. Stow one socket in the glove box.
