【Item Description】

ThreeS TC-035 (Martin 0-18 type) Troubadour

I am selling a ThreeS Troubadour series "TC-035." This model was manufactured around the late 1970s to 1980 in Nagoya by Suzuki Violin and is an ambitious Japanese-made single 0 model that is based on the Martin 0-18. At the time, Japanese acoustics were dominated by dreadnoughts, but this series stylishly challenged that with a precise copy of the 00/0 size. There are few Japanese-made single 0 models, and K. Yairi YF-018 is about the only mass-produced model that comes to mind. This alone makes it a rare find.

It has a 14F joint specification. The size is easy to handle and hold, but when you actually play it, the volume is more than you would expect, and the entire body responds quickly. Perhaps due to the solid spruce top and the aged, thin finish, the sound rises quickly, and the deep reverb that is typical of a single 0 is pleasant. Although the sides and back are made of rosewood plywood, the midrange has a core, and it resonates in a well-balanced manner whether strummed or fingerpicked.

[Specifications]
Top: Solid Spruce
Sides/Back: Rosewood Plywood
Neck: Nato
Fingerboard/Bridge: Rosewood
Nut width: Approx. 43mm

The poly finish has thinned with age and is so thin that the wood grain is exposed. The condition is good for a guitar that is over 40 years old. There are small scratches and sun fading, but the neck is almost straight, the rod has been confirmed to be working, there is little fret wear, and there is no swelling around the bridge or cracks in the heel. What is particularly noteworthy is that the string height is low, making it easy to play. It is a very easy-to-handle instrument for a Japanese-made guitar of this era.

Comes with a hard case (please consider it as for transportation purposes only).

For those looking for a rare Japanese-made single 0 in good condition. This is a guitar that has it all: sound, size, and atmosphere.

*Please note
I am listing this item with the utmost sincerity, but the condition of the instrument is my subjective opinion and does not guarantee quality.

Please ask questions before purchasing and only purchase if you are satisfied.
