The tool you reach for once your main detector has told you something is there. You have the hole dug and the signal is somewhere in the loose soil — this finds it in seconds instead of sieving through by hand. The whole front section detects, not just the tip, so you can sweep the hole wall, the spoil heap or the plug without having to point it precisely. It tells you two ways at once, a tone and a vibration, and both get stronger as you close in on the target, so it works just as well with headphones on or in a noisy spot. A bright LED in the nose lights the hole when you are digging at dusk. No tuning, no settings, no ground balancing — switch it on and go. 22cm long, light enough to hold all day, and it comes with a lanyard and a belt sleeve so it is not rolling around in your bag.

HOW TO USE
| 1 | Fit a fresh 9V alkaline battery. A weak battery is the most common cause of a unit switching on and off or behaving oddly |
| 2 | Switch on away from any metal |
| 3 | Sweep the probe slowly around the hole, the spoil heap and the dug plug |
| 4 | The tone and vibration get stronger as you get closer to the target |
| 5 | Use the LED to light the hole when working in poor light |
| 6 | Wipe the probe clean after use and switch off to save the battery |

• Only the probe tip below the light and switch is water resistant. Do not put the body, battery compartment or switch in water. This is not for use in streams, rock pools, shallow water or diving
• This is a pinpointer with a detection range of around 5cm. It is not a search detector and will not locate objects buried deep in the ground
• Detection range varies with the size and type of metal. A large iron object reads further away than a small gold ring
• This is a hobby tool and is not suitable for security screening, cable or pipe detection, or any safety-critical use
