This cap iron came off a No 37 Transitional Plane (No 8 Iron Plane size). It is a Type 6-9 (1888-1902). It should clean up decently. The screw is included.
NB: The frog fork hole is higher on this cap iron than the one for a Stanley No 8 - meaning you will have to cut and file another hole if that's your application.
