The woodcut is matted and framed under glass in the original frame. The visible image is 8" by 10" and the outside frame measurements are 14" by 16". It is pencil signed on the back as pictured and also signed in the block in the upper left hand corner. This vintage print is in excellent condition and ready to hang. Please excuse any reflection in the glass.
Fritz Richter was a painter and graphic artist and was born on December 19, 1904 in Salzburg. Fritz later lived in Berchtesgaden. He studied at the Academy in Leipzig and became a master student at Belme. He served in WWII and became ill in 1955 and was no longer able to produce woodcuts. He died on May 20th, 1981.
