Description

?This is an ORIGINAL and UNUSED pair of "Liberty Cuffs" embroidered for enlisted sailors who had participated in Operation CROSSROADS, the first post-WWII tests of the Atomic Bomb, which took place at Bikini Atoll in the Central Pacific in July, 1946. Apparently, the sailor who purchased these cuffs decided not to have them sewn on his dark blue uniform "jumper" cuffs. Either that, or his ship commander or higher naval command forbade their wear for security reasons.  At any rate, the cuffs are in pristine MINT condition and ready for an addition to a cuff collection.  Here's an opportunity for the "atomic test" collector to obtain a VERY RARE item for his collection. The buyer will have my usual unconditional guarantee of authenticity and satisfaction and a five-day right of inspection and return privilege, excluding postage. Please Note: The cuffs will be mailed by ordinary first class mail in a No. 10 envelope at a postage of $2 or less, with the unused postage being refunded after mailing.
