Antique German giant glass sulphide marble featuring a white porcelain-like figure of a horse in full stride. This is a larger "boulder" size marble, measuring approximately 1.85 inches. The figure is well-centered with excellent detail. The glass is clear with internal air bubbles (seeds) and some silvering around the base of the horse, characteristic of 19th-century handmade production. A factory-ground faceted pontil.
This marble shows signs of being played with. There are multiple moons (crescent-shaped impact marks) and light surface scuffing consistent with age. No major chips or deep cracks. Please refer to the photos for a close-up look at the surface and internal figure.
