Additionally, many cheaper cameras do not display on-screen parking guidelines correctly or in the same format as the Kia factory system. This camera retains OEM-style on-screen guidelines, providing a familiar and reliable parking experience.

This camera is a direct replacement for the original cheaply made OEM factory installed unit and offers a reliable, high-quality alternative to expensive dealership replacements, which Kia attempted to charge me £720 plus installation, additionally these factory Kia camera’s constantly fail.

PLEASE NOTE: I have personal experience using both the original Kia OEM camera supplied with my vehicle and this replacement camera. Based on real-world use, I can confidently say this replacement provides excellent image quality in both daylight and low-light conditions. It should not be confused with cheaper alternatives on eBay that use lower-grade sensors and produce poor image quality.

If you wish to match the camera to your vehicle’s body colour, the outer shell can be easily swapped from your original OEM camera onto this replacement unit. The camera mounts at the rear of the vehicle and is designed to assist with parking by providing a clear, wide rear view.

4. Camera replacement is straightforward:

   • Remove the four screws securing the tailgate cover

   • Carefully pull the cover off, taking care not to damage the clips

   • Disconnect the wiring connector

   • Unscrew the two nuts holding the camera in place and remove it
