The Virden Berkeley Line was a decorative lighting series from the John C. Virden Company in the early 1930s (introduced around 1931, with production into the early 1940s.

Wall sconces (the most iconic and commonly surviving piece—typically single- or pair-mounted, fan- or V-shaped shades).

These fixtures are highly collectible today for their quality craftsmanship and timeless appeal

Shows the ornate backplate scrolls and fan-like slip shades in glowing amber—perfect example of the series' blend of Deco elegance and Craftsman detail.

This auction is for a Pair of Virden sconces that have been restored with Brass and Gold frames, the wiring and power turn switches have been replaced. Ready to install. The glass is heavy thick satin yellow glass that slides into the frame with ease. The glass in this set is in great condition as seen in the pictures. The way glass was made in the 30s had air bubbles and this set has some small ones and it is very common with this era of glass. Also the heat from the bulbs would leave hairline stress marks that could be thought to be cracks. They are not but want this for part of the description. Please see the pictures, there are also small flea bites.

Lightweight Frames and very good condition as they approach 100 years old. These are harder and harder to find. The shades are exceptional and in great condition. The lighting was hard in taking the pictures and you will see in the main picture the true color of the set.

Always use a damp cloth to clean and never use chemical cleaners. There are other sets up for auction with Satin glass.
