Men's true vintage suit jacket, probably dating back to the 60s and from popular British clothing chain John Collier ('John Collier, John Collier the window to watch!'). Made from pure new wool and lined with Milium - this was an insulated lining made by applying an aluminium coating to the underside of fabrics to reflect body heat, providing warmth without bulk for coats and blankets. This innovative heat-reflective technology made garments warm enough for winter but also surprisingly cool in the sun. The jacket is brown with an orangey/tan stripe. Four buttons at the wrist and two buttons to do it up with. There are two outer side pockets, one breast pocket and four inner pockets. Two vents at the back. Measures 20" armpit to armpit; 16" armpit to wrist and 28" shoulder to bottom hem. Dry cleaned a few years back and never been out of the wrapper since, this is such a fab jacket, brilliant for all you Mods out there!
