This is a beautiful piece of antique furniture. A small box with a lid with a padded top. There is a lock made of brass. I do not have the key. Brass hinges. The inside is lined with what looks like a coarse linen hand nailed in place. There is a drop in tray. The pictures do not give its uniqueness its due. It has many signs of love and wear. Small dents, scratches, stains all contribute to its character. See photos.
