That said, if you know your subject or have a specific interest, please message with any background information that you are happy to share. I would be more than happy to hear your thoughts &/or move it up my ‘To Do’ list!
In the meantime, feel free to watch, awaiting updates, but I can provide the following basic information:
- Bar a dust and light clean, visually looks in good condition.
- Initial research is putting the "D" no. in the 1940/50s
- Original Leather case and a Mount - Tri-pod on Vane? also in the case.
- Sails turn freely when blown
- All dials can be moved by turning the adjuster on the reverse and dials move in order.
- When releasing the bake - which then covers the adjuster - blowing the sails moves the main and first smaller dial on the left.
- More pictures to be added to show this.
In answer to the question - Does it work? I would have to say that it appears too but perhaps the more detailed question of Does it work accurately? I cannot confirm, but everything I have said on here leads me to think it could, especially if a specialist has the capacity to calibrate it.
PLEASE BE AWARE:
- Aside from from I have stated above - I CANNOT confirm this current works accurately for obvious reasons - I simply do not have the knowledge or instruments to test it.
Please feel free to…
- Message, asking any questions or request further information
- View my other listings - generally quirky vintage and some antique
- Read my profile – I try to update this monthly
- Follow me, for ease of returning later, as I continue to add, research and update items.
