35th Anniversary Series | Caliber 9051

Capturing the spirit of exploration in the air, on land, and at sea, the Citizen Promaster collection celebrates 35 years of professional-grade adventure with a new limited edition series. This Promaster Dive Automatic joins the anniversary lineup, blending classic Citizen dive aesthetics with modern, dive-ready performance.

The watch features a lightweight and highly scratch-resistant 41 mm Super Titanium™ case finished with platinum DLC, combining polished and brushed surfaces for depth and refinement. A matching triple-link Super Titanium bracelet reinforces its durability while maintaining exceptional comfort on the wrist.

Its retro-inspired design traces its origins to the legendary 1977 Citizen Challenge Diver, famously discovered still running on an Australian beach in 1983 after years submerged in the ocean. Encrusted with barnacles yet fully functional, the watch earned cult status and inspired this modern reissue. That remarkable survival story gave rise to the nickname “Fujitsubo,” the Japanese word for barnacle.

The marine blue dial and unidirectional bezel are accented by embossed hands and classic green luminous material, delivering a warm vintage aesthetic with excellent underwater legibility. Beneath the surface, an advanced automatic movement provides enhanced magnetic resistance to guard against interference from everyday electronic devices, along with a reliable 42-hour power reserve.

This professional-grade diver is ISO compliant, water resistant to 200 meters, and presented in an exclusive blue collector’s dive tank box. Produced as a limited edition of 4,500 unnumbered pieces worldwide, it stands as both a tool watch and a tribute to Citizen’s enduring dive heritage.
