Tall Vintage Clarice Cliff Bonjour Art Deco Teapot/Coffee pot c.1930s Newport pottery Green Pattern with gilt decoration in good condition with wear commensurate with age, a small chip to the spout and a couple of very fine hairline cracks (see photos) which is reflected in the price. Marked on base reg. no. 810076 (numbers not entirely clear so this is best assumption). Lid has a sculptured knob characteristic of the Art Deco movement. 

Starting work in ‘The Potteries’, Cliff began working for A.J. Wilkinson from 1916, with her famous Bizarre wares range launched in 1927 after she was given her own studio in recognition of her talents. Cliff is now considered one of the most influential pottery designers of the twentieth century.
