Antique natural horn napkin ring dating to the late Victorian–early Edwardian period (circa 1885–1915). Crafted from thick, polished horn with a warm honey tone and natural striations characteristic of the material. Decorated with an applied ornamental script mount made of real gold (not plated), consistent with period gold-filled or gold overlay work. The gold ornament is mechanically attached through the horn, with original pin construction visible from the interior, indicating authentic period craftsmanship rather than modern adhesive. Substantial in hand with a soft satin patina developed through age and use. No cracks or repairs observed; light surface wear and natural variation consistent with age. A refined example of antique tableware and a beautiful decorative object.
