■About This Items■
- This modification incorporates a circuit that boosts the voltage from 2.5 volts to 7.5 volts using an LM317L transistor at the point where 9 volts DC would normally supply power to an operational amplifier.
- The voltage can be changed from 2.5 volts to 7.5 volts by turning an additional knob on the side.
- At around 5.5 volts, the tone of the SD-1 changes to a rough FUZZ-like sound.
- The JRC4558D on-board op-amp was the best match, so we used it as is.
- Since the voltage supplied only to the op-amps is only stepped down, the buffer circuits installed before and after the op-amps are modified so that the buffer circuits are supplied with the normal 9 volts of current.
- We plugged in the guitar and got sound.
- Tested. It works fine with 9V power adapter or 9V battery.
- It made in Taiwan 2003 and Modified in Japan 2025.
- LED color changed from red to white.
- The rubber ring of the pedal guide bushing was replaced with a new one.
