Large Modernist TALLER HERNÁNDEZ CANO 1815 TRADICIÓN Mexican Art Pottery Vase
Fantastic large and heavy modernist burnished clay vase from Taller Hernández Cano Tradición of Zinapecuaro, Mexico
The piece has a muted, slate green matte finish using time-honored Mexican pottery techniques with a modern twist.
It features a fabulous concaved circle with a lizard-like image in its center, surrounded by a Mezo-American inspired pattern.
The burnishing process gives the surface a smooth, polished finish that enhances the depth of its colors and intricate details. Every piece is unique with a slightly different finish, color, and/or pattern.
It has the Taller Hernandez stamp on the bottom as the final picture attempts to capture.
