VTG multi colored appliqué textile folk art, signed by Mercedes De Ruiz. Scene is rural village with houses, animals, palm trees and a village girl near river. Houses look like those in the Mayan region of Mexico or Central America. Measures 27 1/2 x 11 1/2 ".

I purchased at auction in 1970 and am cleaning out so just cannot use it.
I think it would be fabulous framed, wall hanging or lumbar pillow cover.
It appears in need of dry-cleaning to freshen it up after all these years, but I did not dare wash.
